Entry Requirements:
- There are no specific entry requirements to the course, however it is recommended that kearners hold a minimum Level 2 in Literacy and Numeracy
- Recommended Minimum age for this qualification is 16 Years and abov
- This Course s suitable for parents and volunteers in participating in Early Years Provision
- Suitable for Learners on Foundation Learning Programes
- IT literate (Internet, Microsoft office)
- Able to understand and interpret course materials
- Self-motivated and willing to complete and achieve
- It is not Necessary that learners have access to be working, however it is recommended you have access to a volunteering role
Course Structure (Mandadory Units)
- Children and Young person development Level 2 Credits
- Contribute to Children and Young People’s Health and Safety 3 Credits
- Contribute to the support of child and young person development 3 Credits
- Contribute to the Support of Possitive Environments for Children and Young People 3 Credits
- Introduction to Communication in Health, Social Care or Children’s and Young People’s settings 2 Credits
- Introduction to Equality and Inclusion in Health, Social Care or Children’ns and Young People’s settings 2 Credits
- Introduction to personal development in health, social Care or Children’s and young peoples settings 3 credits
- Maintain and support relationships with children and young people 3 Credits
- Safeguarding the welfare of children and young people 3 credits
- Support children and young people’s positive behaviour 2 Credits
- Understand Partnership Working in Services for Children and Young People 2 Credits
Optional Modules
- Contribute to promoting Nutrition and hydration in early years and childcare settings
- Contribute to the support of childrens communication, language and literacy
- Contribute to the support of children’s creative developement
- Contribute to the support of children’s physical development through activities
- Develop Positive Relationship in with Children, Young People and others Involved their care
- Introduction to duty of care in health, social care or childrens’s and young people’s settings (Students have a wide range of optional subjects which they can discuss with their tutor)
Guided Learning Hours
350 Hours Guided Learning
Learners will complet assessment portfolio in their own time to last approximately 100 Hours over the cycle of the Programme.
Successful Learners can Progress to
- Level 3 Diploma for the Children and Young People’s Workforce England
- Level 3 Award in Supporing Children and Young People with Autism
