Entry Requirements:
- There are no specific entry Requirements but a minimum Level 2 Numeracy or Equivalent
- Candidates must be a minimum of 16 Years old
- This Course s suitable for parents and volunteers in participating in Early Years Provision
- Suitable for Learners on Foundation Learning Programes
- IT literate (Internet, Microsoft office)
- Able to understand and interpret course materials
- Self-motivated and willing to complete and achieve
- It is not Necessary that learners have access to be working, however it is recommended you have access to a volunteering role

Learners must achieve the mandatory units below in order to successfuly gain qualification

Communication with hildren Level 2 4 Credits
Health and Safety in a childcare setting Level 2 5 Credits
Safeguarding in childcare setting Level 2 5 Credits
Supporting activities, purposeful play and educational programmes Level 2 5 Credits
Supporting Children with Special Educational Needs Level 2 7 Credits
Understanding child development Level 2 5 Credits
Understanding the principles of wellbeing in children Level 2 5 Credits
Understanding the role of the Early Yeras Practitioner Level 2 4 Credits
Working with others in Early Years Childcare Level 2 4 Credits
Gudied learning Hours
Learner Guided hours is 300hrs, students are expected to study and complete assessment portfolio at their own time with an expected additional 200hours over the Guided Learning.
On Successful Completion students can progress to other qualifications such as
- TQUK Level 3 Award in ICT in Early Years (RQF)
- TQUK Level 3 Diploma for the Childrens Workforce (Early Years Educator)
