TQUK Level 3 Award in Risk Assessment (RQF)

The Level 3 Award in Risk Assessment (RQF) is regulated by Ofqual.

Qualification Purpose
The TQUK Level 3 Award in Risk Assessment (RQF) provides learners with the knowledge and skills
required to carry out risk assessments in low risk environments. Learners are required to undertake a risk
assessment as part of the training. It will prepare the student to progress to a qualification in the same or
another subject area and prepare them for further development as a risk assessor.

Entry Requirements
There are no specific entry requirements however learners should have a minimum of level two in
literacy and numeracy or equivalent.
This qualification is suitable for learners of pre – 16 years of age and above.
Progression
Successful learners can progress to other qualifications such as:
 TQUK Level 3 Award in Health and Safety in the Workplace
 Level 3 Certificate In Occupational Safety and Health
 Level 3 NVQ Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety
 Level 4 Award in Health and Safety in the Workplace

Learners need to achieve two credits from the mandatory unit.

Total Qualification Time
Total Qualification Time is comprised of Guided Learning Hours and an estimate of the number of hours a learner is likely
to spend in preparation, study or any other learning including assessment.
Total Qualification Time for this qualification is 20 hours.
Guided Learning Hours
These hours are made up of all real time contact time, guidance or supervision of a learner by a lecturer,
supervisor, tutor, trainer or other appropriate provider of education or training.
GLH for this qualification is 20.
