The Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Adult Care is awarded by TQUK an Ofqual regulated qualification. Learners will develop a knowledge and skills required by Managers and Leaders. Achieving the qualification should enable learners to innovate and respond to a changing environment and meet challenges and opportunities within the sector.

Learners have options to tailor the qualification in the interest of practice such as Learning Disability, Adult Care, End of Life amngst other through the optional module choice.

Entry Requirements:

  • There are no specific entry requirements however learners must be in a job role appropriate to the chosen units
  • A minimum Level 2 Numeracy or Equivalent beneficial
  • Candidates must be a minimum of 19 Years old
  • This Course s suitable for parents and volunteers in participating in Early Years Provision
  • Suitable for Learners on Foundation Learning Programmes
  • IT literate (Internet, Microsoft office)
  • Able to understand and interpret course materials
  • Self-motivated and willing to complete and achieve

Progression:

Successful Learners can Progress to fiurther qualifications within the social care sector or other parts of the sector such as moving into adult advanced practice to adults Residential Management or move to Children and Young Peoples Workforce sector or the Health Sector through completion of additional sector and job-relevant units within this Diploma.

The Diploma in Leadership and Management for Adult Care qualification may be used as a credit transfer or advanced standing for a qualification in a higher education institution.

Through this qualification, Learners have opportunities in specific job roles such as:

  • Care Manager
  • Officers in charge/registered Manager
  • Day Services Manager

Structure:

Learner must achieve a minimum of 80 credits to achieve the Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Adult Care RQF of which 60 Credits from the Mandatory units and the remaining credits from the optional units.

Duration of Course

Guided Learning hours to complete the course is 562 hours. Students have access to a dedicated Tutor and Assessor working with them through the course. All students are expected to study and complete aspects of their assessment portofolio in their own time which requires an added 238 Hours over the cycle of the programme.
