Level 1 Award in Principles of Working in Early Years Settings (RQF)

Entry Requirements:

• There are no specific entry Requirements but a minimum Level 1 Numeracy or Equivalent
• Candidates must be a minimum of 16 Years old
• This Course s suitable for parents and volunteers in participating in Early Years Provision
• Suitable for Learners on Foundation Learning Programes
• IT literate (Internet, Microsoft office)
• Able to understand and interpret course materials
• Self-motivated and willing to complete and achieve
• It is not Necessary that learners have access to be working, however it is recommended you have access to a volunteering role

Mandatory Units:

• Management and Organisation of Early Years environments Level 1 2 Credits
• Principles of play for babies and young Children Lel 1 3 Credits
• Option Modules
• Principles of Community development in early years settings 1 Credit
• Roles and responsibilities in early years settings 1 Credit

***You need to achieve Six Credits and 5 from the Mandatory Units to complete the course

On successful completion, Students can progress to other qualifications offered such as

• Level 2 Certificate for the Chidren and Young Peoples Workforce
• Level 2 Certificate in Introducing Caring for Children and Young People
